Black and Minority Ethnicity (BME) and diverse communities in East Sussex
October 31, 2012
There are a number of organisations working with BME and diverse communities in East Sussex, a few of which work across the whole county. Many are operating within one district or borough and may be supporting a specific ethnic community. The great majority of those organisations do not receive regular funding, have no paid staff and are run by volunteers. Please bare this in mind when contacting them or asking for their involvement.
Reports Three countywide specialist Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) organisations - Diversity Resource International (DRI), Friends, Families and Travellers (FFT), and SCDA Sompriti - were tasked with working in partnership to research the needs of individuals from BME communities and how those needs could be better met by mainstream voluntary sector service providers. Please find the report of the outcomes here.
