To be centered on service improvement and to identify and develop good practice and disseminate information at a local level to those involved in implementing equality work and equality action plans.
To identify how public authorities, statutory partnerships and the third sector across East Sussex can work together to meet their individual and collective responsibilities to their communities and equalities legislation.
There will be particular focus on the current and emerging equality legislation to sustain good practice.
To keep members updated on developments and activities from member organisations through the submission of a written update prior to each meeting.
To provide a virtual support network to equality and diversity practitioners.
To act as an advisory consultative forum.
To promote a culture of strong relationships between all member organisations and equality strands.
The Group meets quarterly (if you wish to join please contact the Board prior the meeting). Minutes from the meeting may contain sensitive information, therefore are available only on request.
